Refresh People's Choice Awards - 2019 Kitchen Renovation of the Year

Gold Award:

A bright modern kitchen in Auckland by Dave Georgetti

Taking home the 2019 Kitchen Renovation of the Year People’s Choice Gold Award is Dave Georgetti for this completely personalised and stylish kitchen. Although this Auckland villa featured a modern kitchen, it wasn’t consistent with the aesthetic the homeowners wanted for their open-plan living area. Dave redesigned the entire kitchen for them, reworking it to achieve simple and clean lines, as well as adding a much lighter palette with warm whites on the cabinets and benchtops.  View all the wonderful details of the project here.

Silver Award:

Creating a dream home in Woking, Surrey by Kelley Malcher

Renovation specialist Kelley Malcher arrived on site to a kitchen that hadn't been updated in 20 years! After listening to the homeowner’s wants and needs, they settled on creating an open-plan kitchen and dining area. Kelly created a modern design with ample storage, installing a dining table and kitchen island with a marble finished. To round it all out, she used duck-egg-blue tiles which perfectly complement the grey furnishings. Take a look at the Silver Award-winning project here.

Bronze Award:

A fresh open-plan transformation in Ellerslie by Chiraag Rambhai

Winning the 2019 Bronze Award is renovation expert Chiraag Rambhai for creating a fresh and sleek kitchen in Auckland. The original kitchen was a small and cluttered space overrun by clashing colours. Chiraag started by redesigning the layout to make room for white drawers and full-length cupboards, then added a pop of colour to the white room with green splashback tiles and kwila hardwood flooring. The centre focus however is the Corian stone kitchen island, completing changing the look and feel of the kitchen. Check out the full project here.
