Control heat and light in an eco-friendly way. Here is a window shade that's not only sustainable but extremely functional.
Luxaflex Revive® roller blind sunscreens are a new 100% cradle-to-cradle recyclable fabric made from 89% recycled PET (polyethylene tetraphthalate) drink bottles. It’s also a very attractive fabric, so you can be green and stylish at the same time.
The manufacturing process for Revive is intriguing: used PET drink bottles are collected and ground into plastic chips; the chips are refined into beads of polyester and extruded into fibre; then the fibre is spun into thread and woven into fabric. Approximately 12 drink bottles can provide enough yarn for one square metre of sunscreen fabric.
Luxaflex Revive® sunscreens are an easy way to control heat and light during summer. They block about 95% of UV, helping to prevent fading of your furniture and carpet, but you can still see through to appreciate the view.
