Refresh Renovations did a superb job on our new bathroom. The secret to completing these kinds of projects on time and on budget is good project management - making sure that the right person arrives at the right time to do the right job in the right order. It's like herding cats, and Refresh Renovations proved themselves to be first class cat herders. Everything ticked over like clockwork. Even the occasional hiccup (there are always occasional hiccups) was slotted into the project plan without fuss, and everything continued smoothly. My wife and I were very, very impressed. Even my dog was impressed - he made so many new friends, and they all made a huge fuss of him every time they turned up to do another job. In all seriousness, Sophia, Rachel and Mike were, at all times, professional, skillful, full of plans and suggestions, good advice and good humour. I recommend them very, very highly and I would have no hesitation in using them again.

We recently had our house renovated including implementing 5 new skylights to a rebuilt ceiling structure, upgrading a main bathroom, reconfiguring and installing an ensuite and installing a small but very functional laundry. The project took a little over three months while we lived onsite, so it was somewhat of a massive undertaking and involved refreshing about two thirds of our house. Mike, Sophia and Rachel managed all aspects of the project from initiation and concept through to implementation and management of the wider team. Sophia and Rachel were quick to respond to any questions or concerns in the early stages whilst Mike held a great rapport with all of the trades involved and was very knowledgeable on all areas during the implementation stage (and if he didn’t know he would find out for us if we had any urgent questions). He was able to get things fixed or changed quickly if required due to the reputation that Refresh has with the team of local tradies. They all took good care of us by providing up to date progress reports and scheduling as well as checking that we were happy with progress, We are very happy with the results and would highly recommend Refresh Renovations Hawkes Bay!

From Kick off to touch down the team of Mike, Sophia and Rachel delivered us two beautiful renovated bathrooms. Meeting Sophia and Rachel initially, getting our ideas and giving theirs, then taking it to the design team came up with designs we could visualise, then taking us to choose fittings etc made the job less onerous for ourselves, and we appreciated all their input during the reno. Mike is in a league of his own. His daily contact with us and his tradies, kept us in the loop as to what was happening. His subcontractors, being excellent tradespeople, respected him and ourselves so having them in the house, whilst a noisy, dusty experience, was made easier with them all cleaning up at the end of each day.We have no hesitation in recommending Refresh to anyone contemplating a renovation.

We are so impressed with the team at Refresh Renovation - Hawkes Bay. Sophia, Rachel and Mike’s design flair, attention to detail, clarity of communication, and excellent project management ensured that a potentially stressful home renovation was actually really enjoyable and stress-free. They approached all aspects of this project with abundant professionalism, and any challenges were promptly and effectively resolved, with us being kept in the loop through the whole process. Their team of tradespeople were just superb, and it was a pleasure to have them in our home. All the tradespeople were on site when they said they would be and cleaned up at the end of each day, which was so appreciated as we remained in the house throughout the project. Mike went above and beyond on a daily basis, ensuring all aspects progressed seamlessly. We did have some variations that were unavoidable, but the Team provided excellent suggestions and modifications to our plans to ensure we adhered closely to our budget without compromising our vision. The project was completed within the timeframe indicated despite interruptions from Covid. Finally deciding to proceed with a major renovation of my 1886 cottage was an extremely big deal for me, especially given the current building and renovation climate and the horror stories you would commonly hear. It’s fair to say I procrastinated a lot before finally committing and I appreciated Mike and Sophia’s patience at that time. And I’m so pleased I did commit and proceed! Not only was my renovation experience excellent, the outcome exceeded my expectation and I absolutely love my beautiful home! I did not have any of the issues I was worried about. The team of tradespeople that Refresh chose to work with were all great. There were no hold-ups due to product issues and, apart from a couple of variations that seemed sensible along the way, we stayed within budget. There was only one hiccup involving the colour of the benchtops which was an error on the part of the supplier, not Refresh, and this was resolved quickly and without question. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mike and Sophia. Their advice was sound throughout the process and although I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted to achieve, they contributed many helpful ideas along the way. In terms of managing the project once the build got underway, exceptional! Everything went extremely smoothly and if not for the bench issue the job would have been completed well under the projected time. As it was, it still came in on time. I know I could not have taken on such a big renovation without their expertise and professionalism for which I remain very grateful.

I have really enjoyed working with Mike, Sophia and their team at Refresh. It was so great to have lots of advice on the initial plans. My renovation ideas completely changed after our first meeting .So many fun things to think about!!! From the beginning stages to the finished product they were nothing but professional. Communication was excellent and any questions I had were answered immediately. The tradesmen were all so respectful, friendly, professional and informative. It was much appreciated to have Mike on site most days to check progress and keep me updated. The work was carried out to a very high standard.
