Mathew grew up in the building and construction industry with his father running his own building company. Mathew’s first job was as an onsite labourer, then he moved in to a trainee building site supervisor for his father’s building company; which is where he learned everything involved with process and flow of successfully building or renovating a house; a role he believes set him up for his successful move to a career in building design.
Whilst working in the building industry, Mathew completed his Diploma in Building Construction at TAFE, then moved straight on to complete a Diploma of Building Design and Drafting, whilst working part time designing kitchens for IKEA.
After completing his studies, Mathew started working as a sketch designer for BGC Residential. He then was offered a design role with Fratelle Group where he quickly advanced to a Senior Designer position. After 6 years and needing a new challenge, he progressed his career with Webb and Browne-Neaves where he worked as a Senior Designer as well as holding other roles including Design Team Leader.
After 8 years with Webb and Browne-Neaves, an opportunity arose to step out on his own, he grabbed it with both hands as he was ready for the challenge. He has now worked on designs for single, multi-storey, unit developments, renovations and extensions in his own company.
Mathew loves working with his clients and finds nothing more satisfying than listening to their needs and helping them turn their dream home into reality. Having his own business means he can really focus on giving clients a Personalised and satisfying experience.
He is excited to team up with Jason and Michelle Zielinski of Refresh Renovations in Perth, to be a building designer for their company.
